Is Juan Tamad or is there more to him than laziness?

The reason I asked is to get you all to give him an alternative story. I'm going to start a paragraph that should introduce the story and then you follow through with yours with whichever or however way you wanna turn the story. Hope ya'all enjoy this game.. here goes..

Juan Tamad is a boy known in all the land to be the laziest most likely not to succeed guy in all of phillipinehood. His parents hate him and secretly accuse each other of passing the loser gene to Juan. As each day pass and Juan Tamad grows, his parents dread the day when he would have to get married. After all, who would take for a husband a loser like Juan when there is Matangkad, Makisig and Masipag to contend with. Every day they worry about this and at the end of the day all they would ever do is sigh and shake their heads for Juan is incorrigible, stubborn and just plain doesn't know what was the matter with him and frankly my dear he did not give a damn. So one day, being sent by his mother (on a losing errand), he cheerfully walked, and skipped, and run on the fields, unto the muck laden roads until he got to the market where everything seems to be happening. But of course Juan was oblivious to all of these, whatever they are that seems to be happening, except when he got to an old man selling crabs on the sidewalk. Juan was amazed that even though the crabs were no longer in the water they still crawl, very much alive.
